Gentle men of the Press.

Ladies and Gentlemen.

Today is a day of praise and appreciation to all those that made it happen.

The journey of having a permanent secretariat building started about twenty years ago when NAPPS was still APPS (Association of Proprietors of Private Schools) different administration made efforts towards this noble course and the most significant is that of the administration of Prince Raji that got an allocation of two plots of land at Ogba from Lagos State Government and made a deposit payment but we lost the land when we couldn’t complete the payment. Other administration made different attempt and today the deed is done. NAPPS Lagos join her counterpart especially in southwest to boast of her own secretariat.

Apart from secretariat activities NAPPS HOUSE will also be use as educational Resource Centre where research on ways to improve teaching and learning process will take place, it will also house a digital or E-library which will be manage by NAPPS Education Board chaired by Dr. Laolu Omole.

This speech will be incomplete without acknowledging and appreciating all our previous landlords who did not collect rent from us, they gave us part of their schools to use as secretariat free of charge, they include;

  • Late Chief B.B Majekodunmi of Ifako Int’ School, Ifako.
  • Chief Olaniyan of Victory Grammar School Ikeja.
  • Management of Apata Memorial School, Isolo
  • Alhaji Wasiu .O. Adumadeyin of Was-Lat School, Lagos Island.

We appreciate you for giving us shelter at out time of need. May God reward you all.

Permit me to use this opportunity to an advance invitation to all our upcoming programmes for this year;

  • Final of our debate competition chaired by Pastor Mrs. Atinuke Odunuga, about four thousand schools participated in this competition the final will be taking place in May at Unilag.
  • Our 2019 retreat will take us to Badagry the Cradle of Civilization, we are giving to learn and have fun.
  • 2018 NAPPS Day was loud but that of 2019 will be louder, we shall be giving by the grace of God a can gift to NAPPS best teacher.

We shall be ending the year with another round of Banquet and change of batten that of last year will be a child’s play.

I appreciate the Deputy Governor Dr. Mrs. Idiat Adebule for her inclusive policy that made NAPPS as an association to have a say the formulation of education policy of Lagos State, the effect is improved education for the moves. The Permanent Secretary have always been supportive. The chairman of the occasion Dr. Adebogun is our role model in the industry and great supporter of NAPPS, we are eternally grateful the Director General Quality Assurance is a problem solver, thank you for always been there for us.

To all our past landlords may God reward your land gesture to NAPPS.

We are grateful to our corporate sponsor Sterling Bank Plc and all schools and individual that assist us in equipping the secretariat, we can’t thank you enough.

This secretariat project wouldn’t have seen the light of the day but for the support of the Executive Council, Chapter Chairmen and their Excos, the Elders Council, the Ambassadors, Special Advisers to the president and the Entire Esteemed Members of NAPPS Lagos State without you there is no me. Am grateful.

Without the hand of God the labourer labour in vain, he crown our efforts with success, Alhamdullilah.
